Open account for someone else?

Hi! I want to open an account for my boyfriend because he doesn’t have a credit card. Is there a way I can open the account and put it under his name? Because if he calls people, I don’t want my name to be showing on the other people’s phone. Thanks! 😊

No.  If you open the account, it must be under your name.

However you can also disable name display so it only shows the number.

Thank you! And if I add a second phone number, can this one be under his name? (I’m thinking about switching company also).

If you add a 2nd number I think the name displayed is still the name of the account owner.

Hi there,

just wondering, did you know he can also use a Social Insurance Number as his form of credit instead? When beginning a mobile account your first piece of ID needs to be a provincial ID, passport, or drivers license but for the credit portion you can use either credit card or SIN number, I figure that would be an easier solution if you do that instead

I believe Prepaid has different options for payment. Maybe check that out.
