new phone line with device

Hello Koodo Customer Service,

 

I hope you're doing well.

 

I am a faithful Koodo customer and have consistently paid my bills on time. I appreciate the service I've received over the month's which , is why I am reaching out to see if there may be some flexibility available regarding a device upgrade I am interested in.

 

I have selected a new plan and an S26 Ultra device; however, the upfront taxes and charges required at the time of purchase are beyond what I can afford to pay all at once. I understand these charges are normally due immediately, but I was wondering if Koodo would be willing to review my account and consider any options that would allow the upfront taxes and fees to be added to my next bill or otherwise spread out over my billing cycle.

 

In the past, another provider was able to accommodate a similar request based on my account history and payment record. As someone on a fixed disability income, paying a large lump sum upfront is challenging, but I am fully capable of meeting my monthly obligations and have demonstrated responsible payment habits.

 

I would be grateful if you could review my account and let me know whether I might qualify for any exception, financing option, account accommodation, or alternative arrangement that would make this purchase possible.

Hi,

The Ultra 26 is a high-end device, though, so there is typically a high price tag with it. As of now, from what I can see, you would need to pay $65/month for 24 months on top of your regular rate plan to get it. Koodo has already reduced the price by $735 in the form of a Tab Bonus. Is that the price you would like to reduce? And Have you looked into other Samsung devices? 

As well, personal deals normally aren’t offered in the forum, you would have to contact Koodo directly.

I understand that the S26 Ultra is a premium device and that there is a monthly device charge associated with it. My question is not so much about reducing the overall price of the phone or the monthly payments.

 

What I am trying to find out is whether Koodo offers any flexibility regarding the upfront taxes and fees. As a long-standing customer with a history of paying my bills on time, I was wondering if there is any possibility of having those upfront charges added to my next bill or otherwise spread out over my billing cycle rather than being paid all at once.

 

I understand that this may be something that only Koodo customer service can review on an individual basis. If so, could you please advise me on the best department or method of contact to discuss this request?

Also, if you are having issues with payments, I would recommend choosing a lower-tier phone. It can help with your long-term payments.
