Need help setting up a new Koodo phone plan

Hi, I’ve been suspending my account for the past few months, and now I’m trying to set up a new phone plan. I tried using the Koodo Assist chatbot to get connected to a live agent, but it kept failing and wouldn’t transfer me. Can a rep here help me out directly with plan options? TIA

Hi there,

to confirm, do you mean it is suspended due to non payment or did you suspend the account through the means of a seasonal hold?

if due to non-payment, you need to pay the outstanding balance through self serve and the line will be reactivated and you can choose a new plan.

if you have been using the seasonal hold option, you can select a plan directly in your Koodo self serve. Once you select a new plan, restart the device and you should be good to go. You can do this by following the steps here, a rep isn’t required to change your plan unless you run into an error: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/changing-your-rate-plan?

Thanks Oliver! To answer your question, I suspended my account through the seasonal hold option. I did see the plans available in my Koodo Self Serve, but those plans aren’t what I’m looking for. I’m hoping for more options or better promos than what’s currently showing.

Ah I see! Thank you for the clarification.

In that case you will have to continue with Koodo assist. Reps on here can assist you with removing the seasonal hold plans, however, they cannot offer you promotional plans etc.

Reps on the community can only provide you with plans you see in self serve as reps on here are not sales or loyalty reps but rather technical/account support.

What errors do you receive with Koodo assist? If you manage to setup the callback, make sure to set it up to a number they can call. If they try to call your number it won’t work as it is on a seasonal hold.

You can setup the callback to any Canadian number such as a loved one or a friend and they will help as long as the owner of the account in question picks up. Alternatively, you can also use their Koodo expert messaging service to chat with a rep who can help. More on this can be found below.

Since it is already almost the start of the school year, I would suggest you to choose a plan from your Self-Serve account for now and wait until Black Friday for better deals.
