If you wish to switch to a cell plan, you’d need to get a new sim card, that you can purchase in a store: https://www.koodomobile.com/find-nearest-store?INTCMP=KMLanguageSelector_en_Selected_052021 or order it online  https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/accessories/product/koodo-tri-sim and once you have the sim, you can perform a sim swap https://koo.do/InfoSIM and we can then help with changing the plan to a cell plan in case you are unable to in self serve. 

@Flo Koodo I could be completely wrong, but afaik you don’t need a new SIM card to switch from the WHP plan to a regular cellphone plan… I am pretty sure you can just switch the plan and keep the same SIM. But of course I could be wrong too :)

Yes I already have a sim in the home phone. I tried putting it in a smartphone but it's asking for a pin number I don't have. 

@Sophia Normally,  the  home phone sim isn’t compatible if switched to cell, however, there are chances that it works, but it is not guaranteed 

@Eng-OS  you can try using the current sim in your cell, after changing the plan.

Are you given the option to make the chance to a cell plan in self serve?

The PIN should be a default one, typically 1234. Please try that and if its not working, let us know here.
