I recently switched to the 5g plan on my iPhone 12 mini but the service has not been provided. 5g does not show under “voice and data”. I am in Toronto so towers are not the issue. Tried restarting my phone , reinsert sim , reset network settings.

Eh, that was odd. Which iOS version are you running on the iphone? My iphone can show 5G even I am not on a 5G plan.

Similarly, my new iPhone actually shows I am on 5g although I am not.

Thanks Dinh. I update from iOS 16.1 to 16.6 and it resolved the issue of 5G missing from the settings. I have selected the 5G setting and converted my SIM to an eSIM. After resolving these issues I still only have LTE network showing on my status bar.
