Can I disable the port fraud protect using the Add-on settings?

To clarify, two-factor authentication does not override port protection in certain scenarios.

Port protection will only be overridden by the two factor authentication if you’re porting to another Koodo/TELUS brand.

When porting out to a different carrier Bell, Rogers etc. the port protection needs to be removed first and the port resubmitted, which can be then approved via the 2FA SMS.

Hi @vitamin, port protection is active for your number.  You’d need to schedule a call-back through the Koodo Assist to speak to our team to remove it.

Just to note, unless you’re porting to another Telus brand company, now with the 2FA porting confirmation texts, you no longer have to remove port protection if you’re switching to another provider (outside of the Telus brand).
