We will be purchasing a 30 day europe travel pass and have the following questions:

  1.  Can I call and text my travel companion who has a Koodo travel PASS and what about other travellers who don’t have a Koodo plan?
  2.  Do we use our regular phone numbers.
  3.  Can we call or text from one country to another covered on the  Europe plan?
  4.   Can I assumethat we leave Roaming on while using the travel plan.

Thanks

  1. You can text anyone with a Canadian number without additional charges. If they want to send/receive a call, send a outgoing sms, or use data, they'll be roaming as well. Other travellers it'll depend. If they have Canadian numbers or have numbers of the nation you'll be in at the time of contacting, you can do so at no extra cost.
  2. If the intention is to use your Koodo line roaming, yes you just use your own numbers. Otherwise you can get local numbers or e-sim based roaming apps, which I'd suggest. It's very convenient to roam now, and you can decide if you want your own local number or just data. But it's also viable to use the Koodo travel pass.
  3. As I understand it, if you're in nation x, you can call the numbers of x and Canadian numbers. If you're in nation y, you can call the numbers of y and Canadian numbers.
  4. You would. You can also check your self-serve and phone roaming settings at anytime
