Error 13B1, unable to use the newly added Unlimited long distance pack

In February, I added the "Unlimited Long Distance Pack (27 countries)" to my account. This week, I attempted to call a country included in that list but immediately received error code 13B1.

I have confirmed the dialing format is correct (011 + country code + area code + local number), as I have successfully used this format with other numbers. I have already tried toggling airplane mode, restarting my phone, and adding an additional free pack, but the error persists.

I have been troubleshooting with Koodo representatives for three days. A scheduled callback was attempted, but it came late and I was placed on hold for too long and had to hang up for a meeting.(I might to reschedule this call for after-work hours)

Error 13B1 means your account is missing the Pay-Per-Use International Long Distance add-on, even if you have the Unlimited Long Distance Pack; it’s still required for outbound international calls.

First, log into Self Serve, go to Manage Plan & Add-ons, then Manage Add-Ons, and add the free Pay-Per-Use Intl Long Distance (this unlocks calling). Wait 10-15 minutes, then restart your phone.

Double-check that the pack covers your country; some like Mexico or the UK are included in the 27-country list, but confirm in Self Serve.

If it’s still not fixed after these steps, reply here with your target country and a screenshot of your add-ons in Self Serve; we can figure it out together.

My targeted country is China.

I don’t have “Pay-Per-Use International Long Distance” add-on. Most similar ones are  “$5 1000min International LD Add-on (CHN, HK, IND, UK, BD, MEX)” and “$15 1000 min (China + HK + Macau)”

Another callback was scheduled this afternoon.  If it can’t be solved, I am going to visiton a koodo store.

The PPU is known to be not available in self-service for years. It can only be added by a rep either at the time of activation or later. The rep at a store can not help.

Since you are already here, let me flag a rep to assist and you wouldn't have to go through the callback process again.
