Coverage of Calls and Texts for Europe 14 Day Pass

Question

I am travelling to Italy soon and considering signing up for the Europe 14 Day Pass for $50. I have read the info on Koodo website about what is covered but still confused.

I understand incoming and outgoing texts within Italy; and incoming and outgoing calls within Italy are covered in the Europe 14 Day Pass

Can someone be kind enough to clarify if the following is covered under this plan:

Both incoming calls and incoming texts from Canada to Italy.
Both outgoing call and outgoing texts from Italy to Canada.

I have been given conflicting info on these items at Koodo kiosks and kindly request clarification.

Hi there,You’re correct with both a & b. The pass works in that you can contact any Canadian number while travelling in a pass applicable country free of charge. This includes calling and texting both receiving and sending.You’re also allowed to contact any phone number for the country you’re travelling in free of charge. So, when you’re in Italy, you can call and text Italian numbers for free, however, if say you contact a number outside the country you’re travelling like France, you would be charged. If you then travelled to France, you could call and text French numbers free of charge but then would no longer be able to contact Italian numbers without being charged for usage.Thiswould be until the pass either is fully used or expires from the account, after which you’re charged the regular daily Easy Roam rates, but the same rules apply for receiving and sending texts/calls.I hope this clears things up!
