Cannot choose a perk

After switching the plan, I cannot select the “3-Day Easy Roam International” perk. If I go though the changes, it says “Your plan has been updated!”, but I get no confirmation email. And if I go back to review the plan, it shows no perk selected. Would somebody be able to assist? Tried in the incognito mode in Chrome, with the same result.

You’ll want to start by checking for perk conflicts. If you are switching from one perk to another, the system sometimes gets stuck when there is a destination overlap. For instance, if you try to add an international roaming perk but already have a travel pass for the same countries, they cannot stack. Check your current perk selection in Self Serve to see if it shows as active or blank.

Also, clear your browser cache and cookies for koodo.com and try again in an incognito window. Sometimes cached session data makes the portal reject legitimate changes. You’ll want to also wait the full sync window. After making a change in Self Serve, give it two to three hours before retrying. The issue is that the try again in an hour message can persist even when the backend is still processing.

Check your plan eligibility as well. Not all plans qualify for Easy Roam perks. If you recently moved to a new plan, confirm that it includes a free perk slot. Some plans do not offer perks or have restrictions on which ones are available. Still, you might want to try a different browser entirely since Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge handle the portal differently.

If none of these steps work and the perk will not save after 24 hours, the backend provisioning might have failed. At that point, a rep will need to help you.

Dear Robert,

I see no perk conflicts.

I tried the incognito mode already.

The plan is eligible for a free perk.

The rest is described in the original post.

This happened to me before under the same circumstances in Nov 2024.

It was a known bug at the time and was fixed by a rep on this forum.
