Amazon Prime

I signed up for Amazon Prime yesterday as an add‑on through my Koodo account. I placed an order on Amazon the same day and received free Prime shipping, so the subscription initially worked.

Today, when I tried to sign in to Prime Video, I was told I don’t have a membership. When I check my Amazon account, the Prime subscription is no longer showing.

On Koodo’s side, the subscription is active, but on Amazon’s side, it appears as if I don’t have Prime at all.

Are you using the correct account or login for amazon that was set up when you activated the add-on with Koodo?

Yes, I am using my only Amazon account that I am always logged into.

Did you have prime previously prior to adding the add-on yesterday?

Yes, I have had prime previously. But at the time of activating, I did not.

On Amazon Prime, when you go to Account Settings → Manage Prime Membership → Manage Membership, what does it say under prime bill plan?

If the same email address for your Amazon Prime account was used to link your subscription from Koodo, in there it should say “Billed through Koodo”. If it does not, that would tell you if the subscription with Koodo had been linked or not.

You can also check this through your self serve through the subscription’s tab. When you do, under Amazon Prime, does it still show as “Activate” or does it show the subscription is linked?

Yes, the same email address is used for both my Koodo and Amazon accounts.

When I access my Amazon account and select “Manage Prime Membership,” it indicates that I can join Prime, suggesting there is no active Prime subscription on my Amazon account.

However, through Koodo > Manage add‑ons, the following appears at the top of my list: “Amazon Prime – 3‑month Promo Access ($0),” which indicates that an active subscription is associated with my Koodo account.

I would reach out to Amazon for them to investigate since you said it was working a couple of days ago

Amazon is advising me that I need to contact Koodo, to have my membership re-activated. They can see the membership request/offer, but they can not activate.

In this case I recommend requesting a callback via Koodo assist to speak with a rep to reset or reactivate your Amazon Prime add-on

I don’t want to reset my Amazon Prime add-on myself, as I lose the free offer. So I’ll be reaching out again to an agent.
