Hi there,

It’s possible there may be a third-party billing block on the account to prevent third party charges from occurring. This is an account feature that Koodo can put on the account to prevent any unwanted third party charges, though usually this is requested by the account owner.

I will flag a rep to investigate for you, they can check if there is a third-party billing block on your line. Just make sure you’re logged into the community using your self serve credentials and they can take a look.

As response times can vary here on the community, I also recommend using Koodo’s expert messaging when it becomes available. They can be reached 9am to 9pm local time during the week, they should also be able to check if there is a block of some kind on the account or schedule a call with a rep if not. They can be reached here: Support Homepage | Koodo Mobile

Hi @plyuh

We have looked into it and we don’t see a bloxk for any of the lines on your account.

Can you please confirm the last two digits of the phone number in question?

Thank you @plyuh

Just to double check, do you have the payment method set up through your phone number on your Microsoft account?

yes, it lets me add the payment and sends me a SMS while setting it up, but when it comes to paying for it it just gives me a error. i spoke with microsoft and xbox  support and they said there seems to be no block on their end

Since the code came through when you added the payment method but not at checkout, it doesn't look like a general SMS delivery issue, especially with the rep confirming no block on either line.

Which phone are you using? I would check the blocked numbers list and the spam/filtered folder in your messaging app, the confirmation short code can end up there. As well, did anything change around the time it stopped, new phone or a different messaging app?

the number certainly isn’t blocked and if it was xbox would still go through with sending the sms and asking me for the code i just wouldn’t get it, this is different it just gives me a error and doesn’t even ask for a code

Can you please share what error you get? (please mask any personal information in case you share a screenshot)

If you insist on having no block at the phone level, could you log into Self Serve and check your SMS usage for the month to see whether the Xbox numbers appear there? If they sent anything and it was delivered, it should show up in the usage report.
