I’m a monthly plan koodo user and currently in Canada, but will move to another country next month. I’m hoping to close my account before I leave but also want to continue using all the services up until when I arrive at the new country. So was wondering if closing account will be effective immediately or will it be applied at the end of the billing cycle?

 

If the closing will be effective immediately, is there anyway I can continue using my phone until I arrive at the new country? Do I need to switch from monthly plan to prepaid plan for this?

If you close a postpaid account, normally it will be effective immediately. However, you could contact Koodo and ask a rep to delay the cancellation. Make sure it is written on your  account and check back later to make sure everything is done properly.


@KojiMariYu   Cancelation dates can be future dated to any day that you desire, as long as its not more than 60 days in advance.
