Can you please confirm the last two digits of the phone number in question?

What phone are you using with the phone number that you ported from a landline?

Last two digits are 00

Can you please share the error message that you receive when making an outgoing call? Does it simply say that the call has failed? Are you able to test the sim on a different phone?

I reset some setting and I can now make outgoing calls but there is still an error in trying to call voice mail.

What is the error you get when you call the voicemail?

Just to double check, have you tried setting up the voicemail using these steps?

yes I have tried those steps. when I dial 1 plus my number I get an error “Error performing request, Unknown Error” there’s a button at the bottom saying “Dismiss” and when I click that button it goes to the calling voice mail screen but there is no call taking place. I press the red disconnect button and it says call failed.

Have you tried restarting your device or resetting the network settings?

You can reset the network settings under Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

No it’s not working. I’m resetting the network settings again  and I’ll try again after that

Can you try to dial your number without the leading 1?

Can you also try to call your number from a different phone?

What happens when you do that?

I can dial out a number and it thinks I’m connected but I’m not. There is no ring or dial tone on my end and we can’t hear each other. I’ve tried calling my mom and my personal cell phone and it’s the same not connecting

I can also call myself from another number but neither phone seems to be connected or at least cannot hear anything from each other
