I'm using a local SIM for calls and data here in Europe. However using my Scotiabank Visa card online requires 2FA to my CDN number and I can't change it. Can I use my CDN/Koodo Sim just to receive the code without incurring charges? I have unlimited SMS both foreign and domestic. I do not want Easy Roam and will turn off data to prevent leakage.

Yes. Just put your koodo sim in to receive the text. And of course make sure all data is disabled (you make need to do this while your European sim is in the phone). Make sure easy roam is not on your plan. But ensure the free international voice roaming add-on in present.
