Potential phishing koodoservice@mailing.koodomobile.com

I have received a mail from koodoservice@mailing.koodomobile.com. is this an official Koodo mail, or is this phishing?

That would be an official Koodo email. "Mailing" is just the subdomain. Koodo owns the entire koodomobile.com domain so only they could make an email that says @mail.koodomobile.com or @bill.koodomobile.com, etc.

It's known as an Fully Qualified Domain Name or an FQDN if you'd like to Google and do some research on it yourself!

At the end of the day though always practice safe internet use! Koodo is never gonna send you an email about something that you can't get the same information from by going online and checking/doing it yourself.

(If they say you owe a bill for example, you can go to koodo.com, login, and check if you actually do).

Depends on what it says. What is the content of the mail? Anyone can spoof a sender, so be diligent and don’t click links from emails, unless you’re sure it’s legit.

I am leaning more towards it being a potential phishing email. It is worth noting one of the official email address sending out the emails from Koodo is similar to the one you mentioned here. The one I’m seeing is koodoservice@mail.koodomobile.com.

That said, we do not know for sure unless you can provide us with a screenshot of it. Should you decide to post it here, make sure you leave any personal details, as this is a public forum.
