Phone Offers

I recieved a call from Koodo about offers for me.

I asked the agent how I could be sure it was actually Koodo and he sent me a text. But it wasn’t the usual number I get texts from Koodo so I didn’t feel confident to continue.

How can I be sure if a call is from Koodo?

I checked the tutorial and it shows legitimate numbers Koodo use but any number can be used by a scammer and a text proves nothing.

Will any offer that I might get over the phone also be available through the website?

And if not how can a representative prove they are from Koodo?

Thanks

You can also tell the rep to add the offer to your self serve and you can sign up there.  You can also have them note it on your file, and then you can request a callback via Koodo assist to speak with a rep.  This way you know for sure when you are reaching vs a cold call.  An official Koodo sales person should be less pushy and understand the need to avoid scams.  If they are very pushy, then that is a very red flag

My recommendation is to either log into your acct, log in, go to mobile services,  this will bring you to your current plan. Click on to change my plan( you don't really have to change your plan) scroll through the offers they have and change if you wish. Or you can schedule a call back or go to a koodo/telus store or kiosk and ask someone there. If your unsure. Always go with that instinct,  there are way too many scams out there. That is what I would do anyway.

Thank you

As timing would have it I got a text from the same number today telling me my bill is ready to view. So that would validate the number.

The trouble is other texts from Koodo have come from a different number.

I will just check my account as you suggest.

Thanks for the help
