We recently bought a new phone through Koodo. My wife travels to the US often, and bought a US Sim, which works fine for data, and is supposed to work for texting/calling US numbers, but there is something with the phone that is locking it. We did not have this issue with the old phone, which was bought through Amazon. Koodo reps are overworked and underpaid, and a call back is 24hrs, so hopefully someone here can help me out. Thanks!
What phone is it? And how old is it? Phones has been sim lock free for years now, so unless it’s a really old model, chances are it’s already unlocked.
Samsung S22, turns out it is an international lock, need Koodo to unlock it. Need to check my other phones now for easy roam
I've searched a few forums and they all say to disable the region lock you need to make a 5 min call with the region the phone is from
