Home phone reciever?

I have a home phone plan and currently use the ZTE WF721. I have been told this box is going to be useless come march as the 3G network is going to be shut down and being charged an extra 3 dollars a month.  I have been trying to get an updated Nubia WF725 but am getting the run around.  The rep i talked to on chat told me to go to a Koodo store , I tried 3 different Koodo stores in 3 different cities and they have no stock and say they cant seem to get them for existing customers.

What is going on?

The 3G network is indeed being shut down. Presumably, this is causing stock issues of the Nubia wireless home phone equipment as all of those in the same position are having to upgrade their equipment. Though it is hard to say the exact reason for the lack of stock.

Have you also called / visited any Telus locations? As they also would sell the equipment as well. I would suggest you check there also to see if they have any.

Tried two of them as well and no luck.

The process of finding a replacement is frustrating. Let me flag a rep to look into it

Hi @Matt McAllister

As per the TELUS website, for new activations on TELUS wireless home phone, the Nubia device is in back order. Expectations for new activation on TELUS are that it would be shipped within about 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, we don’t have more info on our end about when it will be back in stores.

Ok thanks. that doesn't do me much good as I am not a new activation.

I also don't understand charging the extra fee for being on the 3G network still when its currently impossible to upgrade the hardware due to it not being available.

I agree.  I would request a callback via Koodo assist to fight this charge, as the device was provided by Koodo and they are not letting you purchase a 4G one to replace it
