eSIM not activated, can't get support

I’m out of the country and signed up for a 360 plan and eSIM. It gave me a registration error and now I can’t activate it, dont have access to SMS so I can log onto my account, can’t call or receive support call back and there’s no chat or email support. Any ideas on what I can do?

Since you are on a prepaid plan, there is no way for you to connect to the Koodo network, since it will only work in Canada and the U.S. with the purchase of roaming add-ons.

To speak with a rep, you will need to download an app that can make or receive calls from Canada, such as Fongo, and schedule a callback through Koodo Assist to that number instead.

Otherwise, you may want to have a close friend or family member in Canada to assist you with the callback. https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/koodoprepaid/koodoprepaid.html

Does this mean it wont work at all? What I had with other carriers is that, without extra roaming, I’ve been able to receive SMS and have my canadian calls go to voice mail when I’m outside the country. Is it not the case here?

That is correct. You will need to get a postpaid plan if you want to receive text messages while abroad.

However, you may be able to access your voicemail by calling one of the access numbers below.

Just wonder if you have someone (friend, family member) in Canada to help to receive the call back from Koodo. If you have, they can ask Koodo for other options. You can aslo try to get a Canadian bunber via voip service. However, Koodo prepaid is only work in Canada and US.

Just as a closing to this post - the responses were correct. I found a Voip serviced that allowed to call Koodo for free. Support was amazing, they confirmed prepaid doesnt work at all out of CA/US, since it had only been 2 days since the contract, tthey allowed me to move to a postpaid plan.

Thank you so much for the kind help!

Glad it worked for you! The rep definitely went above and beyond to help you out. Typically, prepaid service is non-refundable.
