Cancelling Koodo Internet from outside Canada — no Canadian phone, callback not possible

Hi everyone,

I have a Koodo Internet (home broadband) subscription and I need to cancel it. The problem is that I'm currently outside Canada and I don't have a working Canadian phone number, so the Koodo Assist callback option doesn't work for me — there's no number I can give them that they're able to call.

What I've tried so far: Koodo Assist only offers to schedule a callback, and I've already sent a message through social media but haven't heard back yet.

My question: is there any way to cancel an Internet plan entirely in writing — through Koodo Assist's Expert Messaging, email, or any other text-based channel — without a phone call?

If a Koodo rep sees this, I'd really appreciate a private message. I'm happy to provide my account details and verify my identity that way. I'm in a time zone about 12 hours ahead of Eastern, so written follow-up works much better for me than a call.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,

there is no option for you to send a written cancellation (via email / through expert messaging) except through social media. The only way services can be cancelled is by communicating with a rep via a callback or social media. Expert messaging has limited abilities when it comes to cancellations and same here with the Community.

Via social media, the reps can take some time to respond but eventually will. Where you’re out of country already, this is the best method to cancel services. If you haven’t tried already, you can also sign up for a VoIP service such as Fongo and schedule a callback through Koodo assist using the Canadian phone number they give you.

I will flag a rep on here for you to see if they can get in touch with the Koodo internet team as well and see if they can assist. Just make sure that you’re logged into the community using your self serve credentials.

Note that when the service cancels, you will need to return the equipment by a specified date. If you can, I recommend you contact someone in Canada who can return the equipment for you. Koodo will email you a shipping label to send the equipment back. If you don’t you will be subject to an equipment fee.

Hello @Klien We are limited to some actions here, however, we can inquire with the Koodo Internet team in order to see what is the best option. As we require additional information, we have sent you a private message. Feel free to respond whenever you have the time.
