APN type on my Asus mobile phone

Not able to change the APN on my Asus mobile phone.  There is an error message the says “Carrier does not allow adding APNs of type*

    Which asus phone is this? Are you able to reset your APN?

    I was able to create and use my own apn (used to block all data access Incase of data leakage). So I don't think it is the carrier that is restricting it.
