Question

Activation and Register issues

Just received my Koodo Postpaid SIM not too long ago, but I'm not too sure on how to get it Activated or Register a Self Serve one if Koodo wont accept my Account Number let alone Phone number, I put the right Information on it but still the Koodo Assist was not helpful, I unfortunately have no clue on how to get a hold on someone email wise without having to call just for this small issue just to help me. All I needed was if someone could help me transfer my Koodo Prepaid Number into the Postpaid one, I have the New SIM card (Postpaid) to transfer, I cant registered because unfortunately it says my number/postal due to my number is from out of province but would like to keep this number. I could go to a nearby store but I dont have much time due to work.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @Pancak

If you signed up for a postpaid account the sim card should already be active with a phone number. To register for your self serve account, please follow these steps  https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/registering-self-serve

When you are prompted to enter the phone number, you’d need to enter the phone number that was assigned to your Postpaid sim. You should be able to find the information on the agreement or in the activation email you received

Once you register for self serve, you can then follow these steps for the transfer of your prepaid number over to postpaid https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/moving-your-number-koodo

Hello @Flo Koodo ,

Unfortunately that is one of the issues too, ever since I received my PostPaid SIM card I have not received any updates on the tracker or let alone an email about activating it, etc.

We understand @Pancak

Like @Flo Koodo  mentioned, postpaid sim cards usually come reactivated with a temporary number, already activated. In order to find out the phone number of the postpaid sim card, you can access the phone’s settings:

For Android:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select About phone or on some models, About Device. (You may need to open the System menu instead of Settings).
  3. You should see your phone number next to Phone number or SIM status.

The fastest way would be to insert the postpaid sim in a device and call a friend or family member and they can tell you the number.

With the number, you can follow the steps mentioned above in @Flo Koodo ‘s notes and everything should work.
