Sharing a screenshot along with your issue is the best way for us to investigate what is really going on.  However, it’s extremely important to keep your private information hidden.

Here are a few ways to take screenshots and mask private information on different devices:

Android

  • To take a screenshot on an Android device, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time.
  • To mask private information, you can use a photo editing app like Google Photos or Pixlr. Simply open the screenshot and use the "blur" or "pixelate" tool to cover up the private information.

Apple

  • To take a screenshot on an Apple device (iPhone or iPad), press the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
  • To mask private information, you can use the Markup tool in the Photos app. Open the screenshot and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Select "Markup" and then use the "blur" tool to cover up the private information.

Desktop

  • To take a screenshot on a desktop computer, press the "Print Screen" or "PrtScn" button on your keyboard.
  • To mask private information, you can use a photo editing program like Paint or Photoshop. Open the screenshot and use the "blur" or "pixelate" tool to cover up the private information.

Remember, it's always important to protect your private information. Taking these extra steps to mask it can help keep you and your information safe.

On Mac OS X desk- or laptop, typing Command-Shift-3 simultaneously captures a shot of the entire screen to your desktop.

Alternatively, type Command-Shift-4 and then select only a rectangular part of the screen to capture.

Use the built-in Preview app to select areas you wish to edit. Selecting “Show Markup Toolbar” in the View menu brings up tools for editing… the poor man’s Photoshop.

No supplemental software needed.
