Koodo app

This has long been discussed by people wanting koodo to bring back the mobile app that was shut down in 2017

for years I’ve seen people bring it up and I myself have missed the user experience the app brought, it was much smoother and easier to navigate than the “mobile optimized website”

the reason I think it’s time to bring it up again is previously one of the big reasons they said they discontinued it was because of cost and it not making financial sense to pay for both a website and a mobile app. However now koodo does have a mobile app specifically for their internet.

why not have just one koodo app that supports both mobile and internet like you do on the website so you keep cost the same but give a better user experience and let’s be honest it’s kind of weird to be the only Canadian mobile company without a mobile app.

Yeah, lots of folks miss the old Koodo mobile app; it was way smoother than the mobile site. They shut it down in 2017 mostly because of costs, having to maintain both app and website. Now they do have a separate app for Koodo Internet, which kinda proves an app can work.

Makes sense to want one app for both, like the website does, to keep costs down but improve user experience. Honestly, Koodo being the only big Canadian mobile without a proper app feels kinda weird.

No official word yet about bringing the mobile app back or merging the two, but you’re not alone pushing for it. If you want, you could share this feedback on the Koodo Community; sometimes they do listen when enough customers ask.

What’s your main frustration with the mobile site? Maybe there are some tips or workarounds in the meantime.

They’re already on the koodo community providing feedback.

You raise good points @Luke Michael Lindsay and I agree, it would be great if Koodo can add an app to their lineup as another way to view your services and make changes / payments.

I have had the pleasure of using the Telus app and it works quite well so hopefully them creating an app for Koodo internet is a step in the right direction and they use the Telus app as a template.

Virgin Plus and Bell do something similar where the app is the exact same just copy pasted for whichever service they use. Hopefully they follow suite in the coming year. 🙂
