unauthorized plan change

Hello, 

I don’t recall changing my plan but my bill went from $34 to $51 all of a sudden.  Why is that? And why is there not a proper number to contact customer service??

Hi there,

lately this is how plan price increases have been appearing for people on their bills. When you check the previous PDF bill before the price change occurred, do you see a notice of the plan increase? Koodo have moved to a callback only system a few years ago so there is no direct number to call anymore. To speak to a rep over the phone, you have to schedule the call using the chat bot at Koodo assist or you can get assistance here, through their social media platforms, or through Koodo expert messaging where you message a rep. Your bill might have jumped for a few reasons.

  1. Your promo period likely ended since introductory rates usually last 3 to 12 months before reverting to regular pricing. You might have had a plan auto upgrade where add ons or premium features activated after a trial.
  2. Overage charges : roaming, etc. - check your bill.

To figure this out, log into your Koodo account and review the itemized charges on your invoice to look for new line items or changed base plan pricing. Go to your account settings to confirm your current plan matches what you signed up for and check for any active add ons you did not authorize.
