Tab Question - Early Payout on my credit card

I wanted to pay my tab off, immediately via my credit card. When I went through the steps, it added the amount to my next bill.

I currently have $300 credit on my account and owe $700 for my tab. My billing cycle is still a while out.

My question is: If I make a payment, to my account now/today, will that apply to my tab, or just leave me with $1000 credit and still owing my tab?

Since the tab has been added to your next bill to pay off, you no longer have a tab. Just a bill.

Any payment made to your bill will go against the total amount of your bill.

Thanks! I assumed as much, but didn't want to risk it.
