Roaming charges

Hello, my daughter’s phone has roaming charges for $16.00. This was while we were traveling to Sooke together. As soon as the notice came up that roaming charges could apply she put it on airplane mode and still charges were applied. We have not been to the USA.  Could we please have those charges overturned? Also, this happens almost every bill as she lives in Victoria and she has turned off roaming capability. She will not be traveling to the USA...how can we disable this?  Thanks.

Hi @Vanisland

We can definitely look into it!

Just to double check, is it for the line ending in *08?

Thank you for confirming @Vanisland

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the charge since it was due to accidental roaming.

For more info about how to prevent accidental roaming charges, please check out this article https://community.koodomobile.com/plans-services-232910/easy-roam-understanding-how-you-will-be-charged-while-traveling-7811296

Also, feel free to check the available  plans in your self serve account, as you might be eligible for a Canada-US plan: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/changing-your-rate-plan

With a Canada-US plan, there will be no fees for when the phone picks a US tower while near the border,. On top of that, you can use your phone without additional charges in US (some exceptions apply).
