Roam charges but never left Canada

While visiting Port Renfrew in mid-March, I was billed for Easy Roam even though I was always in Canada.  I live in Victoria, BC.

Let me flag a rep to help you out.

To avoid this from happening again, make sure to manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect to a nearby U.S. cellular tower. You will need to do this every time you restart your phone.

    Hi ​@dsunshine, we’ve checked the charges you mentioned and as they are accidental roaming we have added a credit to your account, you can check it out in your self-serve. 

    To avoid future charges please make sure that the data roaming is off in your phone settings and you are manually connecting to the Koodo network.
