Request for nsf fee refund.

Hi there,

I'm writing to request a refund for the NSF fee that was charged to my Koodo account recently.

The missed payment was due to a temporary mix-up with my bank account, but I've already made the payment to bring my account up to date. I've been a loyal Koodo customer and have always paid on time before this. Since this was a one-time error, would you be able to waive the fee as a goodwill gesture?

Hi there,

To dispute the NSF fee you will need to schedule a callback with a rep or send a message through Koodo expert messaging to see if they can remove it. A community rep won’t be able to waive it as this is a standard fee that is applied when payments originating from a bank are returned due to insufficient or unavailable funds. Though it is understandable that there was a mix-up, the fee is valid as you meet the criterion for the fee.

You can use the link here to schedule a callback or from 9am to 9pm local time during the week you can use koodo expert messaging at the same link to discuss the fee. Alternatively, you can also have a charge reviewed through your self serve account. You can submit for review by following the steps here, it will be reviewed within 4hrs.

As a tip, I suggest you phrase it as asking for a 1 time exception when speaking with a rep as it sounds like the NSF did occur and NSF also results in the bank charging koodo. However there is no guarentee that they will allow it.

Request for one time reversal

Hi there, I'm calling about an NSF fee that was charged to my account recently. I completely understand that this fee was applied because my payment didn't go through, and I know Koodo gets charged by the bank as well.

That said, this was a one-time mistake on my end due to a payroll delay, and I've already made the payment to bring my account current. I've been a customer for [X years/months] and have always paid on time before this.

I was hoping you could make a one-time exception and waive this fee as a goodwill gesture. I'd really appreciate it."

I think that is good and polite. I hope it works out for you.

I agree. Maybe just change: “I’ve been a customer for fewer months and have always paid on time before this” to “ I have been a customer for a while now and have always paid on time before this”.

Besides that, looks great! Just make sure to use this with the methods I mentioned above to dispute the charge. Fingers crossed for you @gimmi4475 🙂
