Raised my rates without my consent multiple times

Second time they have randomly raised my rate without my consent. The first time I even agreed to a slightly higher rate on grounds that I was assured it wouldn’t happen again. This time they told me “it would happen from time to time” so they could invest my money in new infrastructure.

I am consistently on the phone with Koodo trying to remove random fee’s that are not legit.

Going back on their word, changing agreed upon rates without consent, hiding notifications of said increase on page five of a bill does not instill confidence of a customer who has been with them for almost two decades.
If you are new to this community I would highly recommend changing providers.

Unfortunately, Koodo has the right to increase your plan with 30 days of notice. You will normally see this on the last page of your bill in small print. The only way to avoid the rate increase is to upgrade your phone on a Tab, which will keep your plan locked for a 24-month period.

Telus also has 5 year rate lock plans on select 5G plans. Even those won't cover you for 2 decades, but it may help provide you some peice of mind.

You may want to check those out

If you choose to keep the device and not lock-in on a term, whenever they increase the rates usually there are cheaper rate plans available in self-serve for you to switch to. I would suggest checking that if the rate goes up to see if a cheaper one is available. This can be done by following the steps below.
