Pre-authorized payment removed twice without authorization

This happened to me too today (Sept. 18). I got an email saying my pre-authorized debit was removed, but I definitely did not remove it.

There were enough funds in the account, my debit card isn’t expired, and my pre-authorized payment actually came out successfully a few days ago.

I also tried setting it back up, but Koodo/Plaid keeps saying my banking login is wrong even though I confirmed it works with my bank.

Just adding my experience here as well in case Koodo can flag this as a wider issue.

You are the 3rd reported case thus far @CassieK

Hopefully Koodo’s investigation can find out what is happening

I had exactly the same problem. No issue with expired card of lack of funds. The other problem is that Plaid is very clunky for re-setting pre-authorizations, and often doesn’t work.

Hi @wlomazzi, @Nick Nickson, @CassieK, @KCMYXE, our team has identified this as a general system issue. They are currently investigating further and we’ll update you here as soon as we have more information.

We’d recommend re-enrolling for the auto-pay so the discount can continue to be applied to your account. As long as the auto-payment is added before the next bill is issued, the discount will apply.

Hello everyone,

We are following up to let you know that we were told the issue should be resolved.

Please let us know if the pre-authorized payment method is removed again.

Thank you!
