one missed payment after closing account has dropped my credit by 151 poijts.

I closed my account 2 months ago and had no idea I had a remaining balance.

i have been a loyal customer for over 5 years, never missed a payment and now because I wasn’t aware of this overdue balance, an honest mistake, I have lost all my hard work that I have put in to maintain such a good credit score.

is there anything that can possibly be done about this? Like a goodwill letter?

i am desperate, it is a major bummer to see.

i was told a few years ago by the financial department that they would reimburse me for half the price of a screen repair due to them selling me a phone that had been previously repaired when it was advertised as all factory parts, and was never given the amount offered.

so having said that it would be a nice gesture to have that issue sorted out for me, I almost wish I went to CCTS at the time because of the abysmal handling of the issue, but I didn’t.

thanks

Unfortunately these would be considered 2 separate issues. You can still pursue the the screen issue but after over a year this will be tricky.

Regarding the credit reporting, late payments are reported automatically and unfortunately koodo doesn't undo these since as you mention, it is indeed a late payment. You will need to wait for the negative rating to come off your report over time.

If you have a good credit rating, it will not take long. And honestly the impact is likely minimal and if you are not looking for a loan right now, there will be no real Impact

I assume the final bill was technically correct? If so, the CCTS wouldn't be able to help in this situation. Your best bet is to pay the remaining amount now, and hopefully, your credit score will bounce back over time.
