NSF charge of $80

Hi Koodo,

I wasn’t expecting Koodo to charge my bank on 16th because bill was displaying 23rd as due date. Koodo’s automated system tried to charge my bank when I didn’t have anything there.

I paid the bill on the 19th but Koodo is now trying to charge me $80 for NSF during the next billing cycle.

This is a terrible experience. I think it’s not fair to pay $80 because it was Koodo that didn’t inform me about the actual scheduled payment date.

Please waive the $80.

Thanks,

Pre-authorized payments aren't taken on the due date, they come out approximately 15 days before it. That's why the withdrawal hit on the 16th and not the 23rd. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-pre-authorized-payments

Since that payment attempt didn't go through, it's what triggered the NSF charge, even though you paid on the 19th. If you would like to ask for it to be waived, once it shows up on your bill use Ask us to review a charge in Self Serve https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/ask-us-to-review-a-charge-on-your-bill and explain you paid in full before the due date. No guarantee, but it's worth a try.

As well, if the early withdrawal doesn't work for you, you can turn off pre-authorized payments and pay manually closer to the due date. You may lose the pre-authorized payment credit though, so check your plan details first.

What I do is keep my Auto pay by bank to keep the discount, when when the bill comes, out, I pay by credit card right away.  The Credit card will give you the extra time needed to pay your bill
