Question

NSF Charge is more than my bill total

I recently switched to auto pay and the September payment was charged on an unexpected day. I was given an $80 NSF fee. This is is more than my total bill of $67. I have tried 3 times to use the self service portal to review the charge but I keep getting an error message. Is there any way to get this fee dropped as a courtesy, as this is the first time this has happened? I have been a customer for over 10 years and I found this nsf amount to be outrageous @Koodo @Koodo Community Team

Pre-authorized payments aren't taken on the due date, they come out approximately 15 days before the last day of your next billing cycle https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-pre-authorized-payments so that's likely the unexpected day you saw. Since that attempt didn't go through, the failed attempt itself is what triggered the fee. It's a flat $80 regardless of the bill total, so it being higher than your bill doesn't change it unfortunately.

Since Ask us to review a charge keeps erroring out on you, let me flag a rep to follow up. No guarantee it gets waived, but it will get looked at properly.

I would also check your pre-authorized payment is still on the account. A failed attempt usually removes it automatically and the autopay credit goes with it.
