My Plan of my 2 lines was changed without notice

I am writing to express my concern regarding an unauthorized rate increase on two of my mobile lines. Despite reviewing my records, I have received no prior notification of these changes, aside from standard electronic billing statements.

Furthermore, while I currently maintain four lines and was recently offered a promotional rate of $30 per month for additional lines, the monthly charges for my existing service have increased instead. I would appreciate a detailed explanation for these adjustments and a correction of my billing to reflect the agreed-upon terms.

Since your plans increased in price, it would be worth checking if any cheaper ones are available. You can do this by following the steps in the link. Changing your mobility rate plan | Koodo Mobile

They don’t need a reason for the increase, they are just allowed to increase the cost of plans at any time if you’re not in a 2-year term. The prices for plans are not locked in when you own the device , this is agreed to when you sign-up for the service.

Unfortunately, Koodo has the right to increase your plan with 30 days of notice. You will normally see this on the last page of your bill in small print. The only way to avoid the rate increase is to upgrade your phone on a Tab, which will keep your plan locked for a 24-month period.

Does this mean you CAN see notification of your plan rate increasing in your pdf ebill?

I have looked through all my bills going back to March and there was no notification of my bill increase. It increased in May.  There was also no notification on  the self serve site. Not impressed with Koodo.

I would go back to February as mine was in the February bill @kat53

Also when you look at your current bill and the past bill, did the plan price increase or did a credit fall off.

There were no credits on my bill at all however, we switched from a credit card to pre authorized debit quite some time ago and in March and prior months the discount for pre authorized debit was $5 for each of us.  But since the increase in fees,  the credit for pre auth increased from $5 each to $10 each.  Why would they do that?? So the increase in price of the plan increased by $12 each and  in conjunction with the price increase the credit for the Pre auth also increased by $5 each.  Seems to me they are trying to hide the cost of the increase in fees by increasing our pre Auth credit which they will eventually reduce back to $5 or else get rid of it completely.  something is rotten in the state of Denmark. @Dennis

@kat53  I am not sure what you mean about the state of Denmark.

It does sound like you plan did increase as your auto pay by debit credit increased from $5 to $10.  This happens along with a plan change.  If this happens in March, I highly recommend reading the fine print on the last 2 pages of your detailed pdf ebill for January and February.  The price increase notification should be there.
