I'm looking for some advice regarding a very concerning issue.
A Koodo account has suddenly appeared on my husband's credit report, causing his credit score to drop by nearly 200 points. The problem is that we have never opened or signed up for a Koodo account.
For reference:
- I have always been a Fido customer.
- My husband was with Rogers and later switched to Telus.
- Neither of us has ever had a Koodo account or authorized anyone to open one on our behalf.
We're very concerned that this could be a fraudulent account or identity theft.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What is the fastest way to get this investigated and removed? We've only just discovered it and would appreciate any guidance on the best next steps.
