What plan did you have? And what plan they changed to?

$45 50GB UL Can Min SFD (4G Speed)
changed to
$50 50GB UL Can Min SFD (4G Speed)

I never initiated this. When it happened last time was told the old ‘package’ wasn’t available any more even though another number on my account had the exact same plan still in use. I had it changed back last time and refunded most of it but its like playing whack a mole dealing with these, what I would consider to be, fraudulent price increases on a service that is self directed.

Are you on a postpaid plan? Did you check your previous bills? There should be a section at the bottom of the last page in small print notifying you of the rate increase.

Can you please confirm whether you received the notice on your bill?

It should be noted that Koodo will let you know at least 30 days prior to the change. The only way to prevent an increase is if you are on a Tab plan. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-price-increases

I personally do not agree with this method, as we have previously pointed out to Koodo that there should be a better way of notifying customers of the rate increase. Unfortunately, no changes have been made so far and this is the only way they are dealing with it.

You mentioned that " I had it changed back last time and refunded most of it".  I would set up a call back again and ask them what they can do for you.

I just checked their sites to see if any better / affordable plan there. But they are only offer plans with 5G speed plans. ( And more expensive)

Can you try to set up a call back again? https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help?autobots=rollout

Do you still see the same message?

I have not received any notification on either $5/mo increase on both lines this has happened to.

The plan features have not changed. Nothing has changed other than a price increase to 2 of my lines. No benefits.  I’ve looked at the  bills for 3 months leading up to the changes and there is nothing notifying me about any increase.

I would update my 4G plan to 5G but to do that I have to set up auto bank pay and for reasons mentioned in the other thread refuse to do so. I also refuse to do a Tab. This is why I’m with Koodo in the first place. When I’m forced to do that the benefit of this service, which it was intended for, will be gone and I’ll move all 4 of my lines elsewhere.

On my first attempt to schedule a call back the system broke as in the picture above, I tried again and seemed to be able to that now. It took over an hour to setup a call back….

That is strange. Hopefully you will get an answer from the rep when you receive your callback.

I have not received any notification on either $5/mo increase on both lines this has happened to.

- Did you check the very bottom of the page noone check?  They put the notification there.  I have received an email about bill increase in the past. Did you receive it?

The plan features have not changed.

- Your plan is still  4G speed?

I would update my 4G plan to 5G but to do that I have to set up auto bank pay and for reasons mentioned in the other thread refuse to do so.

 - Hopefully when you talk to a rep, they can offer you something better - 4G speed to 5G speed or keep the same plan for you.  If they don't, Koodo has prepaid plans

https://www.koodomobile.com/en/prepaid-plans?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_PrepaidPlans

Or Public mobile

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/plans

I would shop around.

Unlesss you are on a tab, carriers are allowed to increases your plan with at least 30 days notice.

Did you check check your previous 2-3 bills prior to the plan price increase to see the notification? If the notification is not there, they are not allowed to raise your plan and I would pursue that with a rep by requesting a callback via koodo assist that Mayumi mentioned above.

I’ve checked 3 months worth of bills before the change. The month before it happened there is a notification at the top of the bill

““Changes to your billing
Your monthly bill is being increased. Please refer to the
last page of this statement for additional details.””

but noting about a increasing  to any plan. Here is the entire bottom of my bill with all of the changes. I’ve look and looked and there is nothing about increasing the specific plan that then increased the next month in this bill or the 2 others before it. Is there something here I’m missing?

In this case, I see that a rep hasn’t commneted yet. If you like, I can flag a rep to look into it and confirm the bill and page for you to review. Afterwards, any further disputing would have to be done with a callback with the caveat at of how it was already explained above when it is ok for Koodo to raise rate plans.

I’m unable to connect with anyone for this issue. I’ve tried to setup a call back with a rep which has been unsuccessful. No one has reached out to me about this issue. I’ve had the charges reversed for this previously but it’s happened again.

Now the system to even try and schedule a call back is broken.

Would you like a rep here then to look into the matter? Or would you prefer to contonue follow-up with the expert messaging option?

Can you please check your email (including the Spam folder) and let us know if you see an email from the Expert Messaging team?

I’ve checked every folder including spam, deleted, inbox and have also done multiple searches in my email that has turned up nothing. Checked txt messages as well and spam folder there too and nothing.

I setup a call back yesterday and nothing. No way to get in touch with anyone to sort this out.

And yes after reading what exactly expert messaging is it’s clear the call center support is completely gone. So no response and no way to get in touch with anyone,. nice
