Monday March 23rd I was charged roaming charges for USA. This is not correct. Please remove the charge from my April bill.

Hello @Justin Lange  We have reviewed your last bill and we have been able to remove the roaming charge since it was accidental roaming,

We will include a helpful link with more details here: https://community.koodomobile.com/plans%2Dservices%2D232910/easy%2Droam%2Dunderstanding%2Dhow%2Dyou%2Dwill%2Dbe%2Dcharged%2Dwhile%2Dtraveling%2D7811296

For more information about how to prevent accidental roaming please check the link we shared above.

Also, feel free to check the available  plans in your self serve account, as you might be eligible for a Canada-US plan: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/changing-your-rate-plan

With a Canada-US plan, there will be no fees for when the phone picks a US tower while near the border. On top of that, you can use your phone without additional charges in US (some exceptions apply). More about Canada-US plans, you can find here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/traveling-with-your-canada-us-rate-plan

Hi there,

To confirm, where it is not correct, is this because you did not travel outside of canada during this time / were close to the border? Or did you in fact travel to the USA but not use your koodo service?

I was very close to the boarder. I live in Rossland BC, 10 mins away.

If you were in Canada that day, your phone might have accidentally connected to a US carrier tower. Let me flag a rep to look into it for you.

In the future, if you are in the area, you can change your carrier selection from automatic to manual (and select Koodo). That should help
