Incorrect Roaming charge

I have accidental roaming charges in September ( driving near the border but never crossed ) how do I get these removed?

Hello there, 

I’ve flagged a rep.

Going forward, I suggest you turn off roaming in your settings as well as change your carrier selection from automatic to manual and then Koodo. Keep in mind if you want to roam, this setting need to be put on Automatic again.

Just note this will have to be changed again if you reset the device but these settings should help to avoid future charges. More info can be found below. 🙂

In the meantime, you may want to upvote this idea. If there are enough votes, Koodo may consider this option in the future.

If you can, please edit your original post and remove your account number for privacy reasons. This is a public platform that anyone can see, you only need to be logged into the community using your self serve credentials for a rep to see what they need to help.

We verified the day with the charge and confirmed accidental roaming. A credit was applied for the fee and will update within 3-5 minutes in the Self Serve account. 

Sometimes the device is going to catch the network on the other side.

It's a world-wide situation, since the device settings are set to automatically search for the strongest signal.

You can follow the steps mentioned by ​@Robert T in order to avoid future similar fees.
