I am currently in Europe abroad and I am using another data plan now while I’m abroad. I have my data roaming turned off, yet I’m still getting these email messages saying that I’m roaming with Koodo when in fact it is turned off. I just got charged $480 equivalent to $15 a day with easy roaming. I DID NOT add easy roaming to my plan whatsoever, so I shouldn’t be getting these charges. I also have a different cell plan activated now while I’m abroad so I shouldn’t be using my Koodo data. I want my money back or at least a fraction of it back. If you don’t help me settle this I’m considering switching carriers when I’m back because I just felt like I’ve been given unknown charges behind my back.

thank you

Chris

Another data plan as in you have another sim card in your phone? Is your Koodo sim in a phone during this time? Did you check your usage in self serve to see the amount?

Hi @Chris Freund

Upon checking, we can see, based on the bill details, that, for the most part, there were calls made or received in roaming.

Along with the Easy Roam usage, there is also pay per use roaming usage, for calls made to different destinations, other than Canada or the location you were roaming, which is not covered by Easy Roam, more details can be found here: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/easy-roam?search_api_views_article_search_fulltext=easy%20roam

For more details about the bill charges, feel free to download the PDF bill in self serve: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/viewing-and-downloading-your-bills?search_api_views_article_search_fulltext=view
