Hey Koodo, 

I just arrived back to Canada and am currently looking for a job and being bombarded by payments. Could I please get the first time payment waived as I’m not in a good place financially right now? Thank you

That is not something Koodo does.

You can set up payment arrangements if you are past due (you will still late payment fees and reported to credit agency).

However Koodo will not just waive your first time payment

The guy at the Koodo store that gave me the sim card and set me up said they are able to waive the fees for you or a percentage. $80 seems like a lot for a set up fee compared to other Canadian phone companies. He had also mentioned the fee won’t be existent for Koodo starting this June.

The connection/activation is 100% waived if you purchase online.

Currently there is no active promo to waive the connection fee that I am aware of.

However, you can request a callback to speak with a rep, but I would not have high expectations
