ER/VC


I have been travelling to the US and just have the sim on. I have never attended a call, or sent a text message. The only thing I have done is receive SMS(not MMS). But I noticed every time there is a missed call on koodo number while in US it charges an ER/VC on my account. Koodo helpline told me that you only get charged if you send a text or if you attend a call or use data, I have done neither.

No, I do not. and these are all 1 minute call. Never picked either of these.

We were unable to find a roaming charge on the last bill. Do you see the charges for the current bill? If so, please post here or start a new post once the bill is issued, so we can look into it further.

Posting it again, this is the detail. Is it possible this will be reverted as the bill is not issued yet and this is just an error?

The ER/VC lines just indicates an easyroam charge is triggered. Since there is not an accompanying like item for a voice call, calling is not the reason for the easy roam charge. 

It is likely triggered due to a text or data usage.

So I was reimbursed for the incorrect charge and was recommended to keep my phone off to avoid future charges when roaming. However I would like to keep the phone ON and receive text messages. 
What is the cause of the constant roam activation when I am called on my phone (even though I do not pick it up). I also have turned off mms, and data roaming. Can Any one advise on how to fix this issue. I have a google pixel 8

Did koodo say what triggered the easy roam Charges?

 

Or did they say it was an error on koodo's side?

They couldn't figure it out. They think they said that when someone calls me, the roaming activates because US partner gets connected even if I didn't pick up the call.

If the cause of this issue is due to the error mentioned above, then it doesn't sound like you can't fix the issue since you can't prevent someone from calling you. And you can't do anything about being charged for that, even if when you don't pick up the call.
