I was charged incorrectly for roaming charges while my roaming was turned off and double charged on another day.

Thank you for confirming @Bayleigh

We have reviewed the bill details and we see there was usage for data and voicemail.

We have also sent you a PM with more details, please check your community inbox when you get the chance.

When you mentioned "roaming was turned off", did you turn off the SIM card or physically remove it?

As well, when you mentioned "double charge", what happened? Were you traveling from 2 different regions?

Did the charges already show up on your most recent bill or was it just the roaming notification?

Note: You will be charged for roaming if you use any of your plan features which includes calling, sending a text, receiving a text that requires data, checking your voicemail, or using data.

You can check the specifics on what caused the roaming charges by following the article below. When you do, what does it say caused the charges?

My roaming was turned off in my mobile network settings, which is what is instructed to do in order to avoid roaming charges

For the double charge, we did not travel, we were in the same town the whole day and it charged once in the morning and once in the evening

Hi @Bayleigh

Will you please confirm the last 2 digits of the phone number in question, so we can look into it further?

I assume you meant that “Data Roaming” was turned off. That toggle doesn’t actually prevent the phone from roaming. You can still be charged if you send SMS, check voicemail, or make/receive calls.

I would recommend following Oliver’s comments and the links above to understand why Koodo charged you. If you determine the charges are incorrect, you can, of course, dispute them .

6627 for the double charge

9020 for the incorrect charge

Do you mean you changed your Network settings from Automatic to manual and then manually selected Koodo?  Or what else did you do to turn off your “roaming” in your mobile network settings?
