Question

Confused about when my 14-day roaming travel pass started?

I bought the 14 day plan and it shows the $60 charge on Aug 8th.  I turned on roaming and was using it all along. Then on Aug 18th I suddenly get a message saying Welcome to the USA and my 14-day plan expires September 5th.  I will be home well before then, and wanted to start the 14-day plan on the day I purchased it…  Now I’m unsure if I should buy another shorter plan to cover the rest of my trip. ( Originally 14-day plan from Aug 8-22, then 7-day plan to Aug 28). I’m also afraid of what my bill will be if I’m paying the ridiculous daily rate since Aug 8th.

It is most likely a glitch message. It should be effective on the date you start roaming in the U.S., whether you are using data, sending a text message, or making or receiving a call. In your case, it would have started on August 8.

As long as you continue to add your Easy Roam Travel Pass during your travels, you should not be charged at the daily rate.

Once you are done with your existing Easy Roam Travel Pass, you can check your Self-Serve account. If it is still there, you can remove it from your account and text US7PASS to 7626 for an additional 7 days. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/europe-easy-roam-travel-passes

If you see any unexpected charges on your bill after your trip, you can submit a request on your Self-Serve account to have a rep review it. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/ask-us-to-review-a-charge-on-your-bill

Hi

The 14 days run from when the pass actually activates on first use in the US, not from the day you bought it, so the Sept 5 date suggests it didn't activate until Aug 18.

A Travel Pass is a one time charge with no daily fees, so while the pass days are running you shouldn't also be billed the daily pay per use rate on top. Can you check Self Serve under Mobile Services > Add-ons and see what dates it shows for the pass? As well, the roaming welcome text is a generic notification and doesn't always reflect what is actually on the line.

I would hold off on adding a second shorter pass until that is confirmed. Let me flag a rep here to look at the line and your usage since Aug 8.

Hello @DaveP  In order to make sure that we are looking at the right phone number, can you share the last 2 digits of the number involved ?

Hi @DaveP

Thank you for confirming!

We have looked into it and we can confirm the 14 Travel Pass has been added on August 06, therefore it will drop from your account on September 5 (after 30 days). The 14 period started on August 8 (when the $60 charge applied to the bill).

We see there is a pending daily rate on August 23 (which was incurred after the 14 day period expired). If you plan on using the 7-day travel pass for the remaining period, you would need to remove the current 14-day travel pass in self serve and add the 7-day one.

If you run into any issues, please let us know.
