Charged Easy Roam INTL ($18) for France without leaving Canada

Hi, I noticed an incorrect charge on my recent bill. On Aug 30, 2026, I was charged $18 for Easy Roam INTL (FRANCE), but I have never visited France or traveled outside Canada.

The call details show "WHERE YOU CALLED FROM: FRANCE", which seems to be a network error or system glitch. 

have attached screenshots of my bill and my phone's recent call log (showing calls with Tyler on Aug 30) for reference.

Could a moderator please check this issue and credit the $18 Easy Roam fee back to my account? Thank you.

You are now able to refute a charge in your self-serve. Instructions are available at the following link of where to go:

Let us know if there’s any issues from doing so though.

    If it is only 1 charge, you can login to your self serve account and submit a request to review an item on your bill

    I also changing your network settings from Automatic to Manual and then select Koodo can prevent accidental roaming.  Note you may need to reapply this change after a phone restart

      Out of curiosity, did you get close to St Pierre and Miquelon? I’m curious how it would specify France, as normally it’s American roaming for being close to the US border. I’ve never seen someone come here saying they got a roaming charge for France while in Canada. I assumed that St. Pierre and Miquelon would be too far away to connect to a French network over a Canadian one.

        This was my thought as well.   St. Pierre and Miquelon is really the only way for this to happen while in Canada
