If my due date isn’t until the 27th then why did it come out of my bank on the 17th. And why wasn’t I told about this, I had other things coming out, I would’ve transferred more into that account if I knew it was coming out 10 days before the due date on the bill. Better communication would’ve been appreciated!!

Hi there,

when you setup pre-authorised payment with Koodo, your payment is taken approximately 15 days before the bill due date. The days can vary depending on weekends and holidays, this is to prevent possible service disruption or late fees. More information on this can be found here: Setting up pre-authorized payments | Koodo Mobile

If you would prefer, you can remove the automatic payment method by following the steps in the link I shared and return to paying the bill manually. However, just note if you have any discounts by having automatic payment setup, you will no longer receive them if you remove automatic payments.

Hey — I understand the frustration, especially when an early withdrawal throws off other payments you had lined up.

pre-authorized payments aren't taken on your bill's due date — they're scheduled to come out ahead of it, usually around 10–15 days before. So with a due date of the 27th, the payment leaving your account on the 17th is the system working the way it's set up, which is why there wasn't a separate heads-up. It's just not made obvious, and I agree that timing can easily catch you off guard.

The good news is you don't have to leave it that way. If that early pull doesn't line up with your budget, you can turn off the automatic withdrawal in Self Serve and pay manually on a date that works better for you — right up close to the due date if you prefer. This page walks through the pre-authorized payment settings: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-pre-authorized-payments

However, if you do so, you might lose monthly “preauthorized payment” credit. Check the detail of your plan first before making decisions.
