Hi,

I changed out plans over a month ago and setup autobank payment but the $10 off both plans didn’t apply their discounts correctly.

Hi @notnicecream, you signed up for pre-authorized payments in the course of your current bill cycle. You should see the discount starting with your next bill, issued in September.

When did you change your plan?

When did you add auto pay by bank account?

What plan did you get?  Does the plan mention the auto pay discount?

To confirm, did a payment come out of your bank account yet for auto pay / is it setup correctly?

When you check your PDF bill, do you not see the credits applied? As when you switch plans a partial monthly plan charge applies on the next bill.

Possibly the credits had covered these partial monthly charges. You can check your full PDF bill by following the steps here, when you do, do you see the credits and other charges?  https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/viewing-and-downloading-your-bills?

I set it up over a month ago for both plans on my account and I added the auto pay by bank the same day. Both plans mention $10 off if autopayment is setup.

The payment came out of my bank account recently. I checked the pdf and there is no mention of $10 off for each plan.

Does the current detailed pdf ebill, show just the new plan, or does it also show your previous plan, and the new plan??

Can you share a screen shot of Page 3 or 4 of your detailed pdf ebill (black out any personal info like phone number, account number, name, etc).?

A warning to all users, never sign up for autopay direct from your bank account. It’s not worth the 10% discount.

Any mistakes on your bill and the money is going to be taken direct out of your bank account. Could be 100’s of dollars gone due to an error on their end. Just don’t do it.

There can be some worry about using bank‑account autopay, but if Koodo makes a billing mistake, they do refund it.

Some issues could happen — like a discount not applying right away or a fee if the account doesn’t have enough funds at the time of withdrawal.

Did Koodo actually take money in error, or refuse to issue a refund?

You can start your own post and bring your concern there.

In terms of my experience dealing with direct to bank billing, yes I’ve had more than an extra $100 taken out of my account due to an error. It’s time consuming to deal with and if you aren’t planning on it, stressful to see extra money gone.

I can hear you. I have a similar experience with Rogers recently and it took 5 month to resolve it.

I realized that you created your own post already. I /we will continue to discuss your issue there and hopefully we can connect your issue to right channel to get resolved.
