Apply for tax exemption every year

I find it very frustrating that no one is able to clarify why I have to prove every year that I am tax exempt. My status card is valid until 2033, but yet I have to email you the form and wait 14 days to process.

We are sorry for the misunderstanding over the phone!

If the status card has an expiry date, this would be when the tax exemption expires, so you’d need to send the form again at least 15 days before the expiry date.

You don’t have to reapply at the end of each year as long as the Status card is not expired.

Hi @I.am.felicia

We have looked into it and we see that you managed to speak with a rep.

For more about the Tax Exemption, please check this support article. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/indigenous-tax-exemption

Based on the previous notes, the support team advised about th expiry date for the previous status card.

We can send you a PM with more details, please let us know.

The agent said i have to send the form at the end of each calendar year. Please confirm if this is valid or not valid.

The lack of communication, and knowledge the call centre agents have including the supervisor when escalated is baffling. I just might switch to another provider soon after my contract expires.
