Account cancellation

I spoke to an agent several days ago and after re-confirming multiple times that I wanted to cancel my account she said it would be cancelled immediately but I did not receive any confirmation and the phone is still active. Is there some additional step I need to take? Does Koodo conveniently “mess up” the cancellation trying to get any extra month out of the customer? Has this happened to anyone else?

It sounds like it indeed wasn’t cancelled if you still have service.

They do have the ability to post date a cancellation until the end of the billing cycle or a specific date if requested by the customer but if you asked for immediate cancellation, you should notice no service within a few minutes.

I would call back to redo the cancellation.
